Building a Balanced Dinner Plate

When making this Sausage and Potato One-Pot Dinner you can feel good about the balance. In general, a balanced plate has all three macros: carbs, fat and protein present. And this recipe covers all the base!

While not a gluten-free whole grain, potatoes add starches and carbs to the meal for immediate energy for your body. Paired with green beans for a serving of vegetables and the sausage for fat and protein to slow down digestion and prevent energy spikes: this recipe is well-balanced.
