January 2023 Celiac Dietitian Review

I literally can not believe that it’s already February 2023. This year is already flying by and I find myself trying to catch up!

I used to send the monthly reviews out on my newsletter list, but I’m trying something new and sharing them on my blog. In this post, I’ll be sharing blog posts and videos I published this month, personal activities, and business updates/reflections.

January Published Blog Posts

I published a total of 6 blog posts. Some of them are listed below. I’m also working on some Youtube videos but they aren’t finished yet.

I’ve got some really amazing blog posts coming out next month, including one that is near and dear to a recent diagnosis I received…

Personal Events

On to the personal experiences I’ve had this month!

100% GF Snacks for a New Year’s Eve Celebration with friends

I celebrated the New Year with my best friend and her roommates. Everything served was gluten-free to help manage cross-contact (see above).

And she reminded her roommates for me that they needed to wash their hands before serving themselves from the spread.

I also ate at a Somali restaurant with my mom and sister. I looooove eating my rice with bananas but I did not get any pictures.

I try to balance enjoying my life and being present with my loved ones with sharing my experiences with you because I know it can be helpful and inspiring…

Me eating gluten-free pasta on a date with Kyle

So I also went out to eat with Kyle. This time at the restaurant, I asked Kyle to take a picture of me (see above)… lol he tried. The lighting wasn’t helping him haha.

I ordered a cheesy pasta dish at a restaurant we’ve been to before. I made sure to request that the chef be notified of my gluten allergy, the pasta be cooked in fresh water and strained in a clean colander, and the sauce be served with a new ladle. (And of course, all the other things I do to make sure I’m getting safe food that I teach in the Gluten-Free Dining Course).

January Business Updates

Food and personal life aside, let’s talk business.

I launched the Celiac Nutrition Course this month and got 40+ students enrolled. If you’re in that course, I’d love to hear from you! How’s the course going?

I changed the Celiac Support Group to only include live chat support. I am no longer hosting live sessions for the foreseeable future. This was a hard decision to make but some personal things came up. I hope I can return to 1:1 sessions and support group sessions at some point, but I’m just not sure when.

I am not offering any more 1:1 sessions but I am offering a limited amount of Q&As for those who have quick questions for me. You can ask up to 5 questions and get a written report with my answers. Check it out here. I don’t know how long I’ll be offering this so if you’ve got questions, ask them ASAP! If you need more recurring support and accountability, you can also sign up for chat support with me here.

I am working on an SOS Celiac and ADHD Nutrition Bundle with an ADHD-specialized dietitian that will be launching THIS month! Join the waitlist if you have ADHD and get early access and a special discount if you’re interested. Thank you to everyone who filled out the survey. I’m so excited about this offer. It’s going to be so helpful.

And that’s all that I have for you for now.
